Tomorrow Raises $4.2M in Series Seed Round to Provide a Free Legal Will for Every Family in America

The round, led by Sinai Ventures with Aflac and Allianz, will fund expansion of insurance technology startup.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: Tomorrow, the first mobile app to combine important legal, finance and insurance services into a single, easy-to-use interface has raised $4.2 million to fuel its growth and platform expansion. Tomorrow is available as a full-featured app in the iOS store and recently launched its mobile web application, which creates a legal will from any smartphone user.

The round was led by Sinai Venture. Also participating in the funding were insurance industry leaders Aflac Corporate Ventures, Allianz Ventures, and Maschmeyer Group Ventures. Allianz, Plug and Play, and Flying Fish Ventures followed on from their pre-seed investments.

“Tomorrow brings an incredibly fluid, customer-first user experience to the traditional ways wills and trusts are created.” explained Jordan Fudge, Managing Director of Sinai Ventures. “We see these major steps in protecting a family as just the beginning of how Tomorrow can bring financial security to every household. There is great opportunity for growth here.”

“We believe every family deserves financial security and a plan for caring for our greatest assets: our children,” continued Dave Hanley, CEO of Tomorrow. “To enable busy families to take action in establishing guardianship for children and ensuring funding for college and the future, the process needs to be more accessible, less expensive and easier to accomplish.”

This new round of financing will fund the expansion of Tomorrow through distribution, advertising and partnerships, as well as the introduction of unannounced new services.

Tomorrow's disruptive business model provides free legal documents that meet the needs of more than 95% of Americans. Through that process, Tomorrow learns about the needs of its customers and offers right-fit financial products through its nationwide brokerage. “As a start, we want every family in America to have a Tomorrow Will - completely legal and free,” said Hanley. “Our extended team of 65 attorneys have created and vetted our legal will and revocable living trust documents that get personalized to a Tomorrow members situation and state of residence.”
