Eve Denison, iOS Intern

Eve

Your Background

My background is a bit eclectic yet complimentary. I started out with an education in Interdisciplinary Arts, with photography and dance being long time loves. I attained a B.A. in Counseling Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work. I spent 10 years in the mental health field, specializing in complex and severe trauma and addiction issues. I recognized the power of technology in helping people, and ready for a change, I decided to jump over to the tech industry and learn how to be an iOS Engineer. I went through Code Fellows for iOS development and spent time working for a very interesting company called FiLMiC. I wanted to expand my experience as a developer and work on a product that focused on helping people handle a difficult topic, efficiently. That is where Tomorrow came in!'

What's your Tomorrow look like? What are you most excited about in your life right now?

Tomorrow I will likely be lifting heavy things or dancing. I am passionate about harnessing the power of technology to help people in ways we could not have imagined before. I am currently looking into developing apps that bring important information to vulnerable populations. I am excited about hiking the Grand Canyon in November!

What's been your favorite part about Tomorrow so far?

My favorite part about Tomorrow is the passion and kindness. I love the concept of tackling a difficult subject matter with eloquence and ease. Motivating people to do difficult things that ultimately benefit them, and those around them, is my jam!

Kristen Wiig. Her sense of humor is intoxicating! Her combination of hilarity and elegance feels fitting.

A Guilty Pleasure

I like to consider myself a beer connoisseur, I try to have a different one every time I have one. It’s like Pokemon, I have to get them all. I have tasted over 2100 different beers, I know this because there is an app for that.
